What a powerful message ❤️ ...

"I am most unworthy." - Mother Teresa

"When I stepped off the plane in Accra Ghana I was immediately overcome with a sense of awe for what Acacia Shade has taken on. The sheer number of needs you are immediately confronted with as you immerse yourself in Ghana would be overwhelming to most. Thank goodness Acacia Shade took on the challenge, navigated the bureaucracy, and created something that has really made a difference and blessed specific, individual lives. I have always trusted Holly, Julie and the Acacia Shade board members to make sound decisions; But after visiting Ghana with them and seeing first hand the children and the projects they have embraced, I can say without a doubt that they are fully invested in doing good. And they are indeed making a difference.

The Acacia Shade home is a safe, happy place where children with disabilities are being loved and cared for. I've been there; I've seen the home; And I have hugged the children. They are beautiful and sweet and good and deserve all that we can share with them. But the thing I really learned from my visit to Ghana is that I need them probably more than they need me." .
Thank you for your support and love Mitzi! ❤️

WATCH: One mom couldn’t find a dance class that would accept her daughter. So she started ‘A Chance To Dance’ for kids with special needs… she never dreamed of how far they’d go.

"It is difficult to put into words the profoundly moving experience of being able to visit Ghana as part of the 2017 Acacia Shade women's service trip. The beautiful people of Ghana have touched my heart and changed my life. The joy for life and genuine love that the children shared with me will never be forgotten. Witnessing the dedication and hard work of those who have given so much to improve the lives of others is inspiring. I am left wanting more. . . needing to do more. . . and feeling deeply unsatisfied with the far too easy life I live."

Kristen thank you for coming on the trip. We love you!
